You can call her many things...
But don’t go calling Roxanne Pallett a certain three letters.
What are those letters that shall not be spoken?
W-A-G.
Of late the Emmerdale star’s been linked to Manchester United player Danny Simpson, but Sky Showbiz got the buzz from the lady’s lips directly as she nattered on the red carpet at the Children’s Champions Awards.
She told us: "I’m not a Wag, I don’t like that term and I’m definitely not one. I’m an actress.
"I don’t like this whole obsession with that title anyway."
But isn’t she dating a nubile hunky footballer?
She told us: "No, I don’t know where these stories come from.
I’m involved in my storyline, working 12-hour days, I don’t have time to get my nails done, let alone date, and definitely not a footballer."
She went on: "I’m very single. I think I’m going to be a Bridget Jones for the next few years with my schedule, but I’m enjoying it and I’m enjoying being with my girls.
"I’ve decided that these are the years I’ve worked really hard for, and I’m at the peak of my storyline now, so I’m not really looking for love at the moment."
That peak she’s talking about is her whopping Emmerdale storyline, which she gave us some goss on.
She told us: "March the 25th his probably the biggest episode I’ve had to work on as an actress.
"We’re looking at a domestic violence storyline, and my character is a victim at the moment.
"So to take her back from two years ago when she was this feisty, strong-minded, confident woman, to break down the character as I have, it’s quite a challenge, but I want to do it justice because it’s such a serious subject."
The Children’s Champions Awards will be broadcast on Sunday 16th March at 6pm on Sky One.
