Is This Scarlett's New Man?

If so, yet another starry Hollywood type has fallen for a down-to-earth UK rocker.

First we had Liv Tyler and her Spacehog hubby Royston Langdon, then Gwyneth was wooed by the sensitive ways of Coldplay's Chris Martin.

Now we've heard a rumour that Richard Archer, frontman of next-big-thing rockers Hard-Fi, has caught the eye of Scarlett Johansson.

Richard apparently set the romance ball rolling by inviting Scarlett to one of his band's gigs when he found out she was filming Match Point in London.

Since then, the pair are said to have been staying in touch on the phone and are planning their next meeting while Hard-Fi are in LA.

Scarlett Johansson"Let's just say that Richard and Scarlett are very close at the moment. He has always fancied her and asked one of his managers to invite her to a gig," a band spokesman let slip.

"He knew she was in London so he thought, why not? The band are now touring Los Angeles. I am sure Richard will meet Scarlett there if there's time."

Scarlett has only recently been linked to Josh Hartnett, her co-star on forthcoming flick The Black Dahlia.

Before that she was dating Jared Leto.
