Jennifer Lopez has offended animal rights campaigners with her penchant for fur.
The singer/actress had to endure the shouts of anti-fur protestors as she sauntered up the red carpet for the launch of her latest album in New York.
Using all her acting skills to the max, J.Lo paused on the carpet and turned round to wave at fans... presumably doing her best to ignore the 100 plus members of People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA).
The campaigners were shouting and brandishing their placards calling J.Lo "Fur Scum" - they also gave out DVDs featuring Miss Lopez in her fur interspersed with images of animals being skinned.
PETA have taken umbrage against J.Lo because of her recent fashion line, Sweetface, which features clothes made from fox, rabbit and mink.
The Hollywood star didn't do herself any favours by turning up for her Rebirth album launch in a poncho lined with fox fur.
A UK director of PETA said: "She (J.Lo) is our latest target. We have sent her dozens of letters and DVDs to try to show her why the fur trade is so evil but she has ignored us.
"The amount of fur J.Lo has worn recently, and now uses in her clothing line, shows she is blind to the horrific cruelty of the fur industry."
