Jennifer Lopez has had a legal problemo.
Somebody has taken her to court.
And we now have the result...
A judge in New York has dismissed a lawsuit against Jen from a writer who accused the star of stealing his idea for a TV series.
Cue huge sigh of relief from the Lopez camp.
Jack Bunick filed a suit at the District Court in Manhattan claiming 2006 drama series South Beach - which was executive produced by the J.Lo - was too similar to the plot of a pilot episode he wrote in 1999 for a programme called South Beach Miami.
But Judge Richard Berman tossed the lawsuit out of court on Wednesday saying it was too flimsy a case to take the case to trial.
The judge also noted that there was "powerful evidence" that the defendants had created the series independently.
Papers filed by Jen's lawyers claimed that although the star was an executive producer, she was just draughted in to "lend celebrity to the show", which was chopped after just eight episodes following poor reviews and low viewing figures.
A storm in a celeb teacup wethinks.
Has J.Lo Got Style?
