We thought Jessica Simpson had been bravely trying to get on with her life since her divorce.
But it seems the poor love is feeling a bit under siege.
The singer/actress apparently feels people are "out to get her".
What's more, she reckons press reports linking her to her Dukes Of Hazzard co-star Johnny Knoxville last year only added to speculation that she and hubby Nick Lachey were having problems.
Jess has spoken out for the first time about the false press reports linking her and Johnny, saying:
"It's so cruel and I just try not to let it affect me, whatever everybody was thinking about me. If I did, I don't think I'd be here now.
"I can't save anything from being talked about because then it becomes this game, and it's not a fun game.
"I feel like everybody's always out to get me, and that's a weird feeling."
The poor lambkin, we're fully behind her.
