Johnny DeppJohnny DeppJohnny Depp has jumped at the chance to hand a special award to a British band.

But who has sparked so much enthusiasm in the Pirates star?

It's those Wonderwall legends - Oasis.

Johnny became pals with Noel Gallagher when he was dating Kate Moss, who was friends with Meg Mathews, Noel's then girlfriend.

You keeping up?

Johnny also played slide guitar on the song Fade In-Out, which features on Oasis' number one album Be Here Now.

So when he was asked if he would present the group with their special achievement trophy at next year's Brits, he couldn't say yes fast enough.

With names like Johnny Depp in attendance at the ceremony, it's likely to be some night.

Noel GallagherNoel GallagherA Brits source told The Sun: "The awards are shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

"This year it's going back to being broadcast live, so the organisers have gone for huge names to spice it up.

"Having Johnny Depp there is a massive coup. Getting Oasis is amazing enough but they needed to have someone iconic to present."

The ceremony will take place in London on 14th February.

One thing's for sure - we'll be on top of it.
