Let's just say the boy's done good... he picked up the gong for best performance by an actor in a musical or comedy for Sweeney Todd.
Yet it wasn't a complete Yank fest - Atonement took the award foot best motion picture (drama) at the do, which was minus the glitzy ceremony this year due to the ongoing writers' strike.
The film starred two of our own, Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, so big pats on their Brit backs.
And there were more hurrahs for the Brits as Julie Christie won best actress in a dramatic role for Away From Her, while Daniel Day-Lewis won the best actor award for There Will Be Blood.
Other big screen winners were Cate Blanchett, who took best supporting actress in a film for her part in I'm Not There and Penelope Cruz's squeeze, Javier Bardem, for best supporting actor in No Country For Old Men.
