On the outside, I'm A Celeb... stars are preened and poised.
But a few days in the wild and it's a very different story.
Stage One: our brave celebs arrive at an Aussie hotel - hair glowing, white teeth to the forefront and fake tans akimbo.
Stage Two: they descend into the outback - it's hot, it's humid, there's nowt but worms to eat and one shared toilet between them.
Say what you like about titillating shots of stars having a wash - stuck in that environment for any length of time and they're bound to get grubby.
And that's what makes I'm A Celeb... so compulsive.
Seeing the likes of Gemma Atkinson and Janice Dickinson descend from their former glam selves to new, feral beings they never knew existed - now that's priceless viewing.
