Kate And Jude's Kiss...

Jude Law and Kate WinsletLunging in for a kiss is always a bit of a risk.

You have to ask yourself whether they're going for the cheek or as near to the lips as possible, are they going for the double and, if so, which cheek first?

Frankly, the technicalities of greeting someone is nightmare enough to make one become a hermit.

And it's no better for celebrities. In fact, it could possibly be worse because there's usually a snapper about to catch the risky smooch.

And so it was for All The King's Men co-stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet, who foolishly greeted each other on the red carpet of their film's premiere in Toronto, Canada.

From this picture, it looks like the two British stars are on course for a full-on lip collision - although luckily we can't see any eager tongues.

Of course, at the last minute the two A-listers might have deviated and found the original cheek target but that could have meant one going one way and the other going the other and a bit of nose-banging happening in the middle.

By the look in Kate's eye, she's well on top of the situation and must have ensured the safe landing of her lips on Jude's cheek.
