Celebville does not rest for pregnant ladies, Nicole Kidman.
So move aside, and let Kate Winslet fill your shoes.
The word is that Kate's stepped in and taken over Nic's role in The Reader.
Apparently Kate was originally offered the role but was too busy to take it on.
But now she's had a second bite at the cherry since Nicole announced she's up the duff.
An insider said: "Kate was offered it first before Nicole but couldn't do it but the dates clashed with commitments to Revolutionary Road.
"So the dates changed, Nicole then got pregnant and now it has come back to Kate.
"Actually everyone is happy now - Nicole as she has a baby on the way, Kate because she has this great role she originally wanted to do, and the filmmakers are too."
Well it seems everything has come up smelling of roses... ain't that just swell?
