She even hired a bodyguard at the weekend to keep bandmates away from Pete, said another tabloid.

The supermodel is said to be furious that Pete went on tour so soon after leaving rehab - because she fears he may fall back into his druggie ways.

Pete can't take heroin because he has implants in his stomach - but Kate is worried he may do something else.

Pete and Kate spent the weekend at the model's mansion in an Oxfordshire village.

Kate also spent thousands of pounds on a bodyguard, says the Daily Mirror.

"Kate is so determined to help Pete kick the habit, she's more or less locked him up in her home where he's safe from any bad influences," a pal told the paper.

The couple had a furious bust-up after Babyshambles' sell-out gig at the Brixton Academy on Friday. Hours later, the rest of the band's tour dates were called off.

Pete's label, EMI, have issued this statement: "It has become clear that Peter embarked on this arduous and high-profile tour too soon after his discharge and he needs time to recover from his extensive rehab treatment.

"Peter asks that he be given the time and space to continue with his excellent effort to recover."
