Yep, we're talking to you, Kate Nash.

She's been recognised by the NME Award peeps and won herself a gong.

We went down to see the gal pick up her award for best solo artist - where she thanked her mum and dad - bless her musical cottons.

She told Sky Showbiz: "It's just nice to get support from people, and be nominated for these things because it means that people are aware of what you're doing and what you're trying to do.

"Obviously awards aren't the be all and end all of everything, so it's not like something I pin everything on."

Kate missed out on the best dressed award to Noel Fielding, but told Sky Showbiz before she knew who'd won: "I hope I God damn win that one. The pressure's on. I think why people like me, I just wear what I wanna wear.

"I just really like vintage clothes and Marilyn Monroe and pretty dresses and fifties stuff, and it suits my figure, so I just wear stuff like that."
