Katie HopkinsApprentice star Katie Hopkin has joined the jungle.

Let the fireworks commence...

Even before Katie stepped foot in the outback, things were kicking off in the Snake Rock group of I'm A Celeb.

From the very first hour, fellow campers Janice Dickinson and Lynne Franks were at each other's throats, with Janice pledging - "I'm going to stab her (Lynne) in the middle of the night."

And so, to smooth things over and replace would-be jungle contestant Malcolm McClaren, who dropped out at the last minute, the producers sent in Katie.

Katie who made a name for herself on this year's Apprentice by dishing out crushing insults on her co-contestants and generally upsetting people left, right and centre.

And to add to the drama, Katie was thrown right in the deep end when she appeared on the show last night.

Minutes after entering the jungle, she and Gemma Atkinson competed in - and won - a celebrity chest trial against Croc Creek rivals John Burton Race and Anna Ryder Richardson.

Of her jungle buddy-to-be Janice Dickinson, Katie had previously said "If she (Janice) starts, I'll slap her... I'm the female Simon Cowell."

But happily, Janice and Katie appeared to bond on their first night together.

When Katie admitted to being labelled the "biggest bitch in Britain", Janice replied "So what? You should say what you think."
