Sky Showbiz has the answer from Kirsty's very own mouth.

We nattered to her on the red rug at the world premiere of the SATC movie, where, clad in a blue Marc Jacobs frock, she revealed she'd just come from filming Gladiators (shown on Sky One).

She told us: "I actually wanted to be a fashion journalist before I was a presenter."

So it's no surprise she loves Carrie's style the best. Why?

She said: "It's v eclectic and edgy, she's just amazing."

But the character she'd be isn't the fashionable Ms Bradshaw, but rather Charlotte.

She said: "I probably empathise with her more than the others."

Chatting about her own fashion and style she said: "Recently I've just been a bit more daring, it's hard to explain."

When asked what her secrets to fashion success are she told us it all involves taking a bit of a risk.

A bit like SJP did wearing that interesting fascinator, no?
