Kylie MinogueKylie MinogueKylie has made a personal statement to thank her fans for all their support.

Her management have confirmed that the 36-year-old pop star has gone into hospital for tests to discover what the next steps in her battle against breast cancer will be.

"Kylie is currently undergoing tests at a first class medical facility in Melbourne in preparation for an operation this week by one of Australia's leading surgeons," said the statement.

"Thankfully, tests so far have confirmed the earlier diagnosis that the cancer appears to be confined to the breast."

Kylie herself issued a short message to her fans and to other women suffering from the disease.
