Kylie Minogue and Olivier MartinezKylie Minogue and Olivier MartinezKylie's family and friends have been quick to come to her support following the shock news of her breast cancer.

Her French boyfriend, Olivier Martinez, has cancelled a trip back to Los Angeles where he was due for filming on his new movie to be at her side.

He called his agent and told them he wouldn't be returning to shoot The Snow Goose, but was staying in Australia to be with Kylie until further notice.

The Sun reports him as telling Kylie: "This is our fight. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for you now and nothing else matters. Just get well."

Olivier's father, Robert, revealed: "Olivier just wants to be with Kylie. That's all that's important to him now."

Olivia Newton John - nowOlivia Newton-JohnIt's thought that Olivier was the one who prompted Kylie to visit a doctor urgently after she'd recently been seen looking pale and tired.

After being diagnosed with the early stages of the disease on Tuesday, Kylie broke the news to her family and Olivier, her agent and her fans, then she went for lunch with fellow Aussie Olivia Newton-John.

Olivia herself beat breast cancer in 1992 and has long been a close friend of Kylie's, a source told the Daily Mail: "Kylie sounded terrified but Olivia promised to help talk her through things."

Kylie, 37 later in the month, vowed to her family, "I am a fighter and I will beat this."

It's understood that she'll be undergoing immediate treatment in her native Australia, where she can be close to her parents.

A spokesperson for the star said last night: "We do not know when she is going in for treatment or what it will be, but it will be soon."

Her sister Dannii has dropped recording work on her album and cancelled a trip to Paris so that she can fly back to Australia to be with her older sister, along with their brother Brendan.
