It's as if Pop Idol never happened - Will Young's new single sees him leave the reality TV tag even further behind with an ass-shaking number.
Sky Active's music reviewer, Elizabeth Scott, has also taken a listen to the latest releases from Girls Aloud and The Darkness. Get the lowdown here.
WILL YOUNG - SWITCH IT ON
With his latest single, Will Young proves he is no ordinary reality show winner, showing off his diversity as an artist.
Unlike anything he has done before, Switch It On is a fast-paced, guitar-driven single, with a swirling mix of rhythms and a harmonica sound which also makes this sound a bit bluesy.
Meanwhile, the video is a camped-up take on Top Gun which gives Young the opportunity to show off his 'rear of the year'.
GIRLS ALOUD - BIOLOGY
Onto some more reality show winners now, but ones without as much variety nor depth.
Biology is similar to most of Girls Aloud's other singles, although it's not as good or catchy as hits such as Wake Me Up and Love Machine.
Believe it or not, the Popstars: The Rivals winners are now on their third album called Chemistry, which is out December 5.
THE DARKNESS - ONE WAY TICKET
Two years after their debut album, The Darkness return with a new single, One Way Ticket.
It's from their album One Way Ticket To Hell And Back, and despite the departure of bassist Frankie Poullain amid rumours of 'musical differences', the eccentric rockers haven't lost their trademark sound.
Justin Hawkins belts out another falsetto number, which includes a sitar solo in the middle giving it an unusual and refreshing edge.
