He's a man with a social conscience, that much we know.
But now Leonardo Dicaprio plans to bring his eco-friendly vision to the world at large.
Rumour has it the Blood Diamond star is planning to create a "green hotel".
IMDB reports that Leo wants to build the pad on land he owns in Belize.
He has already made a deal with the bigwigs at The Four Seasons Hotel resorts and hopes to start building at the beginning of 2008.
Quite how the hotel will be environmentally friendly has not yet been specified.
But given it would be based on a Caribbean island with Leo as host, we're not questioning the idea.
And we have to admire Leo's determination with relation to all things green.
First a possible trek to the South Pole to highlight polar ice caps melting, now an eco-friendly hotel - whatever next?
Perhaps the old use-one-piece-of-toilet-roll routine, a la Sheryl Crow?
The possibilities are endless...
