Leona LewisLeona LewisIt's official: Leona Lewis rocks.

She's set a record for the fastest-selling debut album in the UK.

Spirit bolted straight up the charts to number one, alongside her single Bleeding Love, which is still topping the singles chart for the fourth week running.

Leona managed to keep the Spice Girls at bay, as their Greatest Hits settled for the number two slot.

Her album, which sold 363,735 copies on just one week beat the previous UK fastest selling album - The Arctic Monkey's Whatever People Say I Am - by 12,000.

Beaten by a girl. We love it.

A spokesman for Leona said: "On it's first day of sales alone Spirit sold over 130,000 copies, which was outselling the rest of the top 10 put together.

"On average it worked out that Leona was selling an amazing 200 albums per minute."

Wowsers.
