Matthew FoxMatthew FoxLost star Matthew Fox is urging the rest of the hit show's cast to "stay positive" after grumblings they're not being paid enough.

Some unnamed cast members of the ABC show are apparently upset at the money and gifts given to the stars of Desperate Housewives, which is shown on the same network.

But Fox believes Lost's stars will soon be recognised in the same way as the women of Wisteria Lane.

Lost was named the outstanding drama series at last month's Emmy awards.

Matthew told IMDB: "The difference between how ABC has treated Lost and Desperate Housewives has been night and day.

"There's a perception among the guys that we are busting our asses on the island and we weren't getting a lot of recognition for that.

"I've just told the cast to keep their heads down, stay positive and it will all work out in the end."

Lost is shown on Channel 4 in the UK.
