They seemed to be the best of friends, but now Madonna just doesn't have time for her pregnant pal Britney Spears.
Britney was left disappointed after Madonna turned down her request to be godmother to Brit's first born because she's just too busy.
Doing what however, we're not quite sure. Madge hasn't got an album on the go, neither is she filming a movie. So what is keeping her from signing up for the job?
The pair forged a friendship after Madonna, 46, introduced Britney, 23, to Kabballah.
Madge has since acted as a mentor to Britney and they have also made a record together, Me Against The Music.
Plus, they shared that on-stage kiss at the MTV Awards...
Britney, however is said to have taken the news on the chin, as an insider told The Sun newspaper.
"Britney was so disappointed but told Madonna she understands."
