Yet another big name has joined the voice cast of The Magic Roundabout, with comedian Lee Evans in line to play a new character, described as "the plucky and courageous Train".
Evans' name will roll in the credits along with a pile of other stars, including Robbie Williams as dopey Dougal and Kylie Minogue as the little girl Florence.
Speaking about his new role, Evans, 40, said: "It's really exciting to be involved in this project.
"The Magic Roundabout has become something of a national treasure. Now we can pass this on to the next generation to enjoy."
The original series of The Magic Roundabout was created for French TV in the 1960s and was adapted into English - complete with supposedly drug-laden references - by Emma Thompson's father, Eric.
Bill Nighy is taking on the voice of the seriously spaced out rabbit, Dylan, with Sir Ian McKellen speaking for Zebedee, Joanna Lumley as Ermintrude, Jim Broadbent as Brian and Tom Baker as Zebadee.
Another new character written in for the film version (due to be released in February 2005) is that of Soldier Sam, voiced by Ray Winstone.
