Barely two weeks ago we brought you speculation that Freema Agyeman would be replacing Billie Piper in Doctor Who.
And guess what? We were right. Sometimes it hurts being this good.
Freema, who we've previously seen in Crossroads (and in one previous episode of Doctor Who, for the eagle-eyed) will join the show for its third series.
She revealed how excited she was at getting the gig:
"Auditioning with David (Tennant) in secret down in Cardiff was unbelievable, but I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd actually become the new companion."
The 27-year-old was also full of praise for Billie.
"Billie rightfully built up an amazing fan base and she will be missed, but I hope the fans are willing to go on new adventures with me," she said.
We're sure they will.
