So could it be that we could hear the four walls ringing with her East End drawl once more?

Well let's find out from Michelle Ryan, who played her....

While EastEnders' grand fromages may be open to former cast members popping back (think Ricky and Bianca), Michelle seems to have other ideas.

She said: "I feel as though that was sort of like my uni or apprenticeship, and you don't revisit that.

"I still keep in contact with lots of people from the show, but it's definitely not something I'll go back to."

Mich played Zoe for nearly five years, before leaving the show in 2005 - we can't believe it was so long ago.

But don't go thinking Mich has forgotten her roots...

She added: "I know I'm still here now because of the start EastEnders gave me, and it was an incredible training ground.

"I know I pulled off Bionic (Woman) because I was used to the schedule on EastEnders."

However, even with the untimely cancellation of the sci-fi series, Michelle hasn't been short of work.
