But behind the cameras of the now-axed US series, it was whole different story.

Chatting about her three-year stint on the show, Mischa told The Independent: "You're at the mercy of what everybody else wants.

"You work terribly long hours and a difficult schedule.

"Sometimes, we would shoot two episodes at once."

Jeepers, get out of here - two episodes at once?

We would never have guessed that working on a sun-soaked teen show would be quite such a sweatshop.

Yet ever the trooper, Mischa just might consider a return to the small screen.

"It's not that I dislike doing television at all," Mischa continued. "It would be interesting having more creative control over where the storylines go or the characters. But for the right thing, of course."

Well, don't strain yourself, Mischa, that's what we say.
