You will recall how Cheryl Tweedy of reality TV band Girls Aloud recently blasted Charlotte Church's new album for 'stealing their sound'?
Well, Charlotte - who shot into fourth place in the charts last week with her first pop album, Tissues & Issues - is not happy about the accusations.
The Crazy Chick told me: "It is infuriating. After all, unlike Cheryl and the girls, I have co-written seven of my album tracks. I fail to find how that means I have copied their sound. I always admired and respected the girls but now, if they want to attack, I won't hit back.
"I will hopefully have better sales and even better songs in the future."
Char did manage to get her own dig in, though - "I mean, I haven't resorted to wearing short skirts and dating a footballer to get into the charts, now, have I?"
