Will Young has shocked fans by agreeing to appear in his first ever stage production. He's even doing it for a low fee because: "I really want the acting experience."

Will is a fully trained actor thanks to his time at an arts school and will appear in Noel Coward's hit play The Vortex, in Manchester next year. But Will, who starred in Mrs Henderson Presents, has secretly written his own stage/ screen script too.

He told my mole: "You have to be multi-skilled in this job to survive. I plan to enjoy my time in all genres of entertainment."
