Nelly Furtado may have started her career with a hippy-inspired look, but she told me she's happy to have left that behind for a sexier image: "I hated that look. I wanted to be the real me - Maneater is (the real) me."

Nelly also revealed she's taking acting lessons and making plans to get into the movies: "I've been offered pop roles but I want something gritty. I love Guy Ritchie's work and hope he'll consider me in the future."
