She made her name simply by being herself and while she failed to win Big Brother - losing out to Kate Lawler - Jade Goody raked in the cash with workout DVDs, pantos, columns and endless revelations.

And despite the fact that her beauty business - Ugly's - is going to close, Jade is undeterred. She still plans to go ahead with a beauty book, make-up collection and even a male fragrance to go alongside the women's scent she launched earlier this summer.

She told me: "Closing the salon is a tough decision but now I think I have the chance to take the Goody brand to even higher heights."
