Westlife have made several attempts to break into the US but a duet with Jessica Simpson may finally put them on the map on the other side of the pond.

The Irish lads have had an amazing 12 no.1s here but - like Kylie and Robbie - have failed to crack America, despite teaming up with Mariah Carey for Against All Odds.

Jessica, a huge hit in the States with her Newlyweds TV show and role in The Dukes Of Hazzard, may be the magic ingredient.

Mark from the band told me: "The US is the only market where we've failed to make it big. With her on board, we have a great chance."
