And it's grease paint and bright lights that are a-calling her - if the rumours are to be believed.

She's been tipped to be the next lass to tread the Broadway stage and star in hit musical Chicago.

Nic gave birth to daughter Harlow in January this year, but peeps are already hinting that she will be following in the footsteps of Ashlee Simpson and Brooke Shields to play Roxie Hart in the show.

The whirlwind of speculation surrounding Nic says that she's considering upping sticks from her LA base and moving to New York with boyf, Joel Madden, and their bubba.

An insider told Us Weekly: "Nicole's definitely interested and is weighing it out."

We have to admit that we'd pay good money to see Nic take on that role.
