There was more than a sprinkling of girly screams in London's Leicester Square at the latest red carpet film premiere as some home-grown talent returned to Blighty.
Mega, global, mighty heartthrob Orlando Bloom came to town to promote his new film Kingdom Of Heaven.
The British actor did a bit of a Tom Cruise by spending plenty of time out and about greeting his adoring fans.
He even had to dispatch more than his fair share of kisses, after one girl revealed that it was her birthday and could she have a birthday kiss... needless to say there were then a disproportionate number of girls who suddenly remembered that it was in fact their birthday too.
Orlando arrived at the premiere with his mum and sister, and described the crowd as "amazing" adding: "It really feels like I'm back home."
He was joined on the red rug by his co-stars Jeremy Irons, David Thewlis and Martin Sheen, as well as director Ridley Scott, who defended his movie against the recent criticism.
"They have not seen the bloody movie. They keep going on about being threatened by this and that is absolutely rubbish," he said.
Frock glamour for the night came courtesy of a heavily pregnant Anna Friel and French actress and star of the film Eva Green.
