It's as predictable as the Doctor Who knock knock joke...
Helen Mirren has been named in the best actress category for the Oscars for her role in The Queen.
She's up against Penelope Cruz for Volver, Judi Dench for Notes On A Scandal, Meryl Streep for Devil Wears Prada and Kate Winslet for Little Children - a good show of British actresses.
In the male group there's a surprise with Ryan Gosling bagging himself a nomination for Half Nelson - against the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio for Blood Diamond, Forest Whitaker for The Last King Of Scotland, Will Smith for The Pursuit Of Happyness and Peter O'Toole for Venus.
The best film category is made up by Babel, The Departed, Letter From Iwo Jima, The Queen and Little Miss Sunshine.
Vying for the best supporting actress gong are Adriana Barraza for Babel, Abigail Breslin for Little Miss Sunshine, Cate Blanchett for Notes On A Scandal, Jennifer Hudson for Dreamgirls and Rinko Kikuchi for Babel.
The male equivalent will see Alan Arkin for Little Miss Sunshine, Eddie Murphy for Dreamgirls, Mark Wahlberg for The Departed, Jackie Earle Haley for Little Children and Djimon Hounsou for Blood Diamond all battle it out.
Cars, Happy Feet and Monster House make up the best animated film group.
The noms were read out by Academy president Sid Ganis and Salma Hayek - who gave a little whoop when her best mate Penelope Cruz was named.
