Victoria Beckham There's been a fashion furore around Victoria Beckham...

So our LA girls got on the case to get the skinny - and guess what Posh did after some probing by us?

She headed out shopping, that's what.

But there's a reason we're taking credit for this boost to the US economy, and this is how it all came about...

On Monday there were reports that US clothing store Kitson was dropping her dVb denim line. But our girl in LA, Dionne Clarke, wasn't willing to let sleeping fashion dogs lie and got some exclusive truths on it all.

In fact, she got on the blower to have a natter with Kitson owner, Fraser Ross, who told us: "Contrary to reports, we haven’t dropped the line but her line hasn’t been performing due to her lazy attitude. It’s a tough economy and we need to be in partnership. 

"She lives 15 minutes from the store and it's bad business that she doesn’t come in...

"Some celebrities just want to put their name on something and have us do all the work but they need to put work into it too otherwise - as in her case - it won’t sell."

He went on to say: "Victoria goes into Saks and she was at the Grove on Thursday but she doesn’t come in here to support her line. She has this ice queen attitude and her credibility is on the line and it may affect her getting further endorsements.

"We expect her to be in the store within 24 hours."

He also said: "I’m here to help her and build the line. We invested £50,000 in the line. We stock her cologne, books, sunglasses – we’re a big supporter of hers. We’re not giving up hope."

Not letting it rest there, our girl Dionne had a word with Victoria's LA agent, Cheryl Maisel, who said: "Contrary to a recent report in the UK media this weekend Victoria Beckham’s fashion line has not been dumped by Fred Segal and Kitson in Los Angeles. The best-selling dVb by Victoria Beckham brand is stocked by both retailers."

Pics of Posh shopping - at KitsonShe also supplied us with another statement from Fraser, which said: "The rumours are ridiculous - Kitson is extremely proud to be selling dVb by Victoria Beckham. 

"We are fully committed to the dVb collection and our customers and Victoria's fans ask for it daily."

We then emailed the quotes from Kitson we got, you know, the "ice queen" ones. We haven't heard back as yet from Vic's rep but what did happen hours later was Vic's shopping spree on Robertson Boulevard, including a stop off at Kitson.
