Society girl Paris Hilton has designed a series of crystal collars especially for pooches, saying they are the new must-have for pet lovers.

Paris, 23, who is due to inherit her father's multi-million dollar hotel fortune, is flogging the collars for £10 each on Amazon.com.

She told website femalefirst.co.uk: "In addition to my own sense of style, I think a lot of people admire Tinkerbell's look as well, which is why I decided to include a pet collar as part of the new collection."

The star, who has a pooch called Tinkerbell, says she designed the collars because people admire her dog's style like they do her own.

Now modelling: doggy jewelsThey feature a simple chain and crystal pendant in the shape of a bone and comes with a suede pouch.

Paris' love of dogs almost proved fatal recently. She was out walking with Chihuahua, Tinkerbell when she was nearly run over by a car.

The hotel heiress, who was holding the pup in one hand and her phone in the other, was said to have walked blindly across the street, only to be blasted by horns from the oncoming traffic.

And earlier in the year, Paris offered a $5,000 reward after the mutt went walkabout in the Hollywood Hills.
