Jennifer LopezJennifer LopezJ.Lo is in trouble with the anti-fur brigade again.

This time, however, they claim that the singing actress has used her star status to shrug off their latest assault.

People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (Peta) have accused J.Lo and her team of putting pressure on Billboard magazine to remove a full-page ad blasting the singer's penchant for fur.

Peta paid $5,000 for the full-page spread, which addressed J.Lo directly and contained a gruesome picture of a skinned animal.

In the letter, they attack her for the "sadistic slaughter" of rabbits, minks, foxes and chinchillas for her new clothing range, Sweetface.

But Billboard have now cancelled the advert, leading Peta vice-president Lisa Lange to claim that the magazine had "caved to pressure" from J.Lo's record label and her publicist, Nanci Ryder.

The publicist admitted: "I'm doing my job, which is protecting my client."

Peta have retaliated by emailing the banned advert to hundreds of radio stations across the US instead.
