Pete Doherty has been jailed.
He was sentenced to 14 weeks for violating probation.
The judgement was passed down by a London court today.
Pete had previously been given a suspended jail sentence for possession of drugs and illegal driving in October last year.
The BBC reports that Pete missed one scheduled appointment with his probation team and was late to another.
The jail sentence means he will miss a much-hyped solo show in the Royal Albert Hall later this month.
His record label said: "Peter Doherty was sentenced to a total of 14 weeks in jail for being in breach of his probation order.
"Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."
The current jail term of 14 weeks means that Pete also runs the risk of missing Glastonbury, which starts on the 27th June.
However, he may be eligible for early release.
Pete was previously sentenced to six months in prison in September 2003 for burglary, which was later reduced to two months after an appeal.
