Football can be an extremely exhausting game.
All that running up and down... and for ninety minutes, too.
So we were a teensy bit surprised to hear Pete Doherty has signed for Sky One's Celebrity Soccer Six tournament.
We don't mean to be unfair, but the self-confessed drug addict surely can't be at the peak of fitness.
But there's no need for Pete to fret - he'll be managing the Ireland team from the sidelines, with a bit of help from Catchphrase legend Roy Walker.
There is some anxiety behind the scenes though. The Babyshambles frontman has a habit of not turning up for his gigs.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: "If he actually turns up to the ground there will be a cash bung waiting for him."
There will be 12 all-star teams competing in the tournament at Birmingham's St Andrew's stadium on Sunday May 14 and West Ham a week later.
You can see all the action from 12.00, live on Sky One.
So far, Kaiser Chiefs and Goldie Lookin Chain have been lined up to take part.
