Fears for Britney Spears' health are growing as the pregnant singer is reported to have been put under 24-hour medical watch.
The star, who is expecting her first baby with husband Kevin Federline later this year, has already had one scare - she discovered bleeding and was admitted to hospital last week.
The bleeding led doctors to warn Britney and her family that if it happened again the baby could be in serious danger, leaving Britney with a 50% chance of miscarriage.
The warning was enough for Britney's mother Lynne, who has reportedly organised round-the-clock care for Britney, hiring a team of nurses to make sure that both mother and baby remain in optimum health in the coming months.
Britney has made no secret of her longing to be a mum since her marriage and a source revealed the singer's distress at her two-day hospital stint.
"Britney was in tears," the source said. "Though she wasn't in any pain, the prospect of losing the child she was desperate for really got to her."
However, Britney's camp has been keen to underplay reports of Britney's recent problems, referring to her recent hospital spell as the result of a "common complaint".
