Singers' new imageSingers' new imageRussian pop stars Tatu have found a new way to surprise the music world - by relaunching themselves as man-eaters.

Having stormed charts around Europe with their girl-on-girl snogging in All the Things She Said, the duo were bound to find it hard to make another huge impact.

But insiders say Lena Katina and Julia Volkova have managed it, sort of, with admissions their lesbian routine was purely an act and a new focus on men.

One insider told The Sun: "The truth is, the girls were never lesbians in the first place.

"They feel like they were exploited the first time round - they were only 14 and 15 when they started doing sexy routines.

"They still want to be controversial and shocking. They want to look and act hotter than ever, but not as lesbians."

Gone are their schoolgirl uniforms and in come a range of sexy, more grown up outfits.

Their comeback single, due out later this year, looks as if it will be produced by Trevor Horn, who was behind their earlier songs.

Lena and Julia have sales of 13 million worldwide, but hit the skids after their lesbian routine was exposed as a scam.
