Well, see what he had to say on the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards, and decide for yourself.

On playing a bad boy, he said: "I've only ever had EastEnders bad-boy storylines since I got there, and I'm not complaining.

"He's the best character in the show, he's a lot of fun, he's great to play. All I do is kiss women and punch people..."

So, what's in store for Mr Slater, who's been getting his revenge on Deano and Chelsea?

Rob said: "A hell of a lot, there's an hour-long (Bradley and Stacey's)wedding special, in which Sean is massively featured. That's a big episode for him.

"And after that there are a whole series of episodes about Sean and his mother, you'll see a lot of stripping of the layers, you'll see the human underneath the villain."

Ooh, sounds deep Rob.

But is he anything like Sean in real life?

Flashing his trademark sexy grin he said: "Oh, yeah, yeah, can't you tell? No, I hope I'm nothing like him otherwise I wouldn't be an actor."

Still, he loves playing Sean, saying: "Work isn't boring. Literally everday you go in and do something exciting. You never know which way he's going to go, he's a little bit loony, so he could do anything in any episode and that's always exciting."

Hmmm, but forgive us for thinking Sean's more meanie than he is sweetie.

But Rob says: "He's got a big heart under there."

Sean the softie? Now there's a storyline we'd love to see...
