PR Dennis Rodman Carmen Electra's ex-hubby, NBA legend Dennis Rodman, has stripped off to support anti-fur group People For Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Rodman, who is as famous for his on-court moves as he is for his in-your-face style and personality, went to New York to unveil his provocative new PETA ad.

In the ad, Rodman appears nude - except for his tattoos - alongside the caption, "Ink, Not Mink", and urges: "Be comfortable in your own skin and let animals keep theirs".

Rodman is the first man to pose for PETA's "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" series, which has featured Pamela Anderson, Kim Basinger, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Christy Turlington.

When the 6ft 8ins basketball legend, whose own 'Dennis Rodman Foundation' helps the homeless, heard about PETA's programme that donates thousands of cast-off fur coats to homeless shelters, he agreed to pose for the cause.

Rodman watched a video showing how animals live and die before being made into fur coats.

Afterwards he said: "If you actually look at (the video) firsthand, it gives you a different perspective on animals and how they're treated. It's heart-wrenching to see what they go through," he said.
