Hollywood hardman Al Pacino bumped into an old friend at the premiere of his new film - Prince Charles.
The pair have been unlikely chums for several years and Pacino has been a guest at Highgrove.
The heir to the throne attended the premiere of Pacino's film version of The Merchant Of Venice in Leicester Square.
The premiere raised £170,000 for The Prince's Trust.
His partner, Camilla Parker-Bowles, told the actor: "How very nice to see you - I've heard so much about you."
Oscar-winner Pacino, best known for playing gangsters in The Godfather trilogy, Donnie Brasco and Carlito's Way, is a keen Shakespeare fan.
His new film stars Jeremy Irons, Joseph Fiennes and The Office's Mackenzie Crook. Pacino plays Shylock.
He said: "The British have encouraged us Americans, but I don't think anybody will ever have the elocution and the taste of words the way some of your actors have."
