Comedy god Jim Carrey certainly knows how to make a grand entrance.
He walked on stage to accept his lifetime achievment prize at the MTV Movie Awards accompanied by an entourage of two dozen winged angels.
Wearing an all-white suit, Jim modestly reflected: "Why do so many struggle with fame while I'm able to float so effortlessly on the upper level of the Hollywood status-phere?"
The other big winner was Wedding Crashers, which won three prizes, including the golden popcorn for best movie.
Co-star Isla Fisher won for best breakthrough performance - her first ever acting award.
In accepting the trophy for the quirky role, she said: "For most people, playing a bipolar nymphomaniac would be a challenge - but I just played myself."
Another good speech was given by Jessica Alba who, as well as hosting the awards, won the sexiest performance prize for her stripper role in Sin City.
She said: "Thank you to all the perverts who voted for me."
Other awards included best screen kiss to Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger for Brokeback Mountain and best hero to Batman Begins star Christian Bale - who received his prize from the new Superman, Brandon Routh.
Jamie Foxx came on stage to present an award but seemed more interested in eyeing up Jessica Simpson in the front row of the audience.
She was wearing a skirt even shorter than her marriage.
He told her: "I want to fight you. Let's tongue-box."
The wacky ceremony, which also featured appearances by Keanu Reeves, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, can be seen on MTV on Saturday 10th June.
