It seems that rumours of a romance between Scarlett Johansson and Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer have been somewhat exaggerated.
In fact, the Hollywood actress would go even further and point out that she's never even met the Staines rocker.
"It's not even anywhere close to being true!" she told the Daily Mail.
She added: "I've never met him and until all this started, I'd never heard of him."
In recent weeks Scarlett has been spotted out and about with actor Josh Hartnett, her co-star on forthcoming flick The Black Dahlia. The pair are reported to be an item.
So, bad luck for Richard.
The rumours started when a Hard-Fi spokesman said Richard had invited Scarlett to a gig when he heard she was filming Match Point in London.
He tattled: "Let's just say that Richard and Scarlett are very close at the moment. He has always fancied her and asked one of his managers to invite her to a gig."
Nice try, but no cigar Mr Spokesman.
