Sky Showbiz got down and, erm, not quite dirty but let's say daring, with stars on the purple carpet at this year's British Soap Awards to find out.

So, let's get on to all of those scandalous snippets, starting with that tongue decoration. The EastEnders lady in question is Rita Simons, aka Roxy Mitchell, who told us she's had her tongue piercing since she was about 19-years-old.

Someone else who was flashing a bit of body decor was Hollyoaks' Andrew Moss, who plays Rhys Ashworth. We asked him about the tattoo he was showing off on his right arm, and he told us: "When I was 15 I got this tattoo done, it's a band, a punk band because I used to be into punk music.

"I had it put on my arm and my parents told me not to. But I got the tattoo and a hamster on the same day because I wasn't allowed pets and I called the hamster Rebel.

"I really wish I didn't have the tattoo on my forearm."

From ink to love, would you believe Corrie's David Platt, aka Jack P Shepherd has a long-term girlfriend? He told us he's been dating the same lass for six years now.

Sticking with love, we think someone from 'Enders may have  bit of a crush on George Michael. Whilst chatting to Cheryl Fergison, who plays Heather, it became apparent that the actress hearts George as much as her character does.

So no guesses as to what her dream storyline for Heather is? She told us: "Minty turns into George Michael and our children look like George and all sing like him and we become like the Jackson five."

Moving on from George, we nearly didn't recognise Hollyoaks actress Ashley Slanina-Davies, who plays Amy Barnes, as she's chopped off her locks. The star, now sporting a pixie-like short 'do, told us she'd lobbed her locks off two weeks ago all in the name of charity.

Sticking with hair, Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox, aka Nancy in the soap, is now sporting a fire engire red bonce. She told Sky Showbiz it took seven and a half hours to do. Yikes.

She also revealed she's just returned from a holiday in New York and a cruise in the Caribbean. She said: "I took my mum on holiday, it was really nice."
