Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler has revealed that he has been fighting hepatitis C.
The rocker - Liv Tyler's dad - said that he has had the disease for three years.
The revelation came as he was interviewed on an American TV show.
He said: "I've had hepatitis C for a long time, asymptomatic (i.e. without symptoms). I've been pretty quiet about this."
Warning others about the viral infection that can cause chronic liver damage, he continued: "Hepatitis C is the one that, of all the people in this room, at least three have it and don't know it. It's the silent killer."
He also explained that a year in treatment had now made the infection "non-existent in the blood".
In 2002, Pamela Anderson revealed that she is a hepatitis C sufferer.
