And the idea that anyone would be aggressive towards a mascot frets our brow terribly so.
So it was with a great sigh of relief that we saw this Hollywood star trotting around Tinseltown bigging up one of our favourite causes.
Mascots have never done anyone any harm - they're a bit like ladybirds, although they probably don't pee on your hand.
But just who is this socially conscious celeb proudly parading her principles across her bosom?
