The OC Vs Desperate Housewives

Eva Longoria and Rachel BilsonThere was plenty of snazzy frocks as Hollywood's youngsters rocked up for the annual Teen Choice Awards.

And in the TV category it was a bit of a battle between Desperate Housewives and The O.C.

Rachel Bilson, who plays Summer in The O.C. beat her co-star Mischa Barton to the best drama actress, while her on and off-screen boy Adam Brody won the male equivalent.

Not surprisingly the couple won the best chemistry gong, and the whole show was named best drama.

Rachel also picked up the female hottie award.

Desperate Housewives was named best breakout show, with Eva Longoria walking away with the prize for the breakout female actress.

Eva also had luck alongside her co-stars as they won the best cast gong.

In the movie category, it was definitely The Notebook's night, as it took a whopping eight awards, including best drama actor and actress for Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

Sandra Bullock was named best comedy actress for Miss Congeniality 2 and Jim Carrey got the award for best movie baddie for Lemony Snicket.

And Paris Hilton didn't go home empty-handed after winning a gong for the best scream in House Of Wax.

Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Jesse McCartney and Eminem all did well in the music category.
