The X factor's Shayne Ward is set to scope this year's Christmas number one with That's My Goal.
But Sky News Active's music presenter Elizabeth Scott takes a look at what other festive offerings could end up in stockings this Christmas.
COLDPLAY
TALK
Not long after Coldplay finish off their UK tour, they release their third single from X And Y.
It's more of the same from the band in Talk - expect this time they've cheekily borrowed the riff from Kraftwerk's track Computer Love.
Still the end result's not too bad, although I'm not so keen on the 70s style space video, which sees them bonding with a robot.
EMINEM
WHEN I'M GONE
Eminem releases one of his new tracks from the number one greatest hits album Curtain Calls.
The moving single When I'm Gone explains why the hip hop star is taking a break from music.
He's as honest and raw as ever - regretting not spending time with his daughter Hayley.
With great songs like this, I hope he doesn't stay away for too long!
G4
WHEN A CHILD IS BORN/FIRST OF MAY
While Steve Brookstein struggles to find a record deal, last year's X factor runners-up seem to be the real success story.
A year on and a triple platinum-selling album later, operatic group G4 now have a new collection out, and a Christmas double A-side, which sees them singing along with Robin Gibb.
It is great to see real vocal talent doing well and this is sure to get you in the festive mood.
